5 REASONS TO HAVE AN OUTDOOR WEDDING

  1. The backdrop
An outdoor location means you don’t have to worry about excessive decorations, as the surroundings are the focus and provide more than enough to look at. Our ceremony space, The Amphitheatre, is set amongst towering palm trees, and overlooks the lily pond with views towards the bay. The views are certainly the talking point when your guests reach the reception space, The Pavilion, with an expansive view towards Stradbroke Island.

  2. Fresh air
Is there anything better? Particularly given the current circumstances, there is nothing people like better than fresh country air, with room for your guests to breathe. South East Queensland has beautiful temperatures year round, so make the most of it! We welcome guests to wander through the gardens to experience the vast array of flora and fauna while they're here.

  3. Stunning photographs
With almost 5 acres of gardens, take your pick of wedding photograph locations, and you won’t be disappointed. Save the time and hassle of finding off site photo locations, and trying to organise getting from A to B. You’ll arrive at the venue knowing that you don’t have to leave. We have hundreds of photography spots on offer, from gardens filled with the colour of bougainvillea, our Lotus Pond which crowds with incredible Lotus flowers in the summertime, the Rainforest which provides a green, leafy backdrop, and of course the top of our mountain, which looks out towards the West and takes in the sunset.

  4. The ambiance
You truly have to see the venue in person to appreciate the serenity and atmosphere; a quiet country feel, whilst still only being 40 minutes from the CBD. Take in the sound of the trees blowing in the wind, whip birds singing, roosters crowing, and water flowing.

  5. Versatility
Our venue will mould to fit your tastes - whether you are wanting a rustic, elegant, bold or simple theme for your wedding reception.

TIPS FOR ATTENDING A GARDEN WEDDING

2/1/2021

Wear flat or sensible shoes

As well as navigating your way through grass and gravel pathways, our venue is located on the side of a mountain, so some pathways have a slight incline. There's nothing that can dampen your wedding spirits more than sore feet when it comes to dancing time at the end of the night! We recommend flat or sensible shoes, but if you can't go past your stilettos, find a pair of heel caps so you don't sink into the grass!

Bring a jacket

We're blessed with beautiful weather in South East Queensland, but as an open air venue, you can never be too prepared for a chilly wind. Bring along a light jacket, and leave it in the car  if you don't think you'll need it. You'll thank us later!

Don't forget your sunglasses

We plan our wedding ceremonies around the sun, so you won't be glaring into the sun, but a pair of sunnies never go astray when you're outside for the afternoon.

Pack an umbrella

Just in case! We lend out umbrellas for our guests, but it's always nice to know you've got an umbrella in the boot if you need it.

Arrive early

Aim to arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior the ceremony start time, so you have time to park and wander through the gardens. We offer a buggy service to drive you from the carpark to the ceremony, but it's a beautiful stroll through the gardens if you have the time. Enjoy the fresh air and take in the scenery. You'll arrive at the Amphitheatre feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Pre-order your ride

Order your taxi or Uber before you call it a night - they do service the area, but if all of the guests order at 10pm, there can be a backlog. Don't dampen the night by waiting around for your ride!
