Wear flat or sensible shoes As well as navigating your way through grass and gravel pathways, our venue is located on the side of a mountain, so some pathways have a slight incline. There's nothing that can dampen your wedding spirits more than sore feet when it comes to dancing time at the end of the night! We recommend flat or sensible shoes, but if you can't go past your stilettos, find a pair of heel caps so you don't sink into the grass! Bring a jacket We're blessed with beautiful weather in South East Queensland, but as an open air venue, you can never be too prepared for a chilly wind. Bring along a light jacket, and leave it in the car if you don't think you'll need it. You'll thank us later! Don't forget your sunglasses We plan our wedding ceremonies around the sun, so you won't be glaring into the sun, but a pair of sunnies never go astray when you're outside for the afternoon. Pack an umbrella Just in case! We lend out umbrellas for our guests, but it's always nice to know you've got an umbrella in the boot if you need it. Arrive early Aim to arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior the ceremony start time, so you have time to park and wander through the gardens. We offer a buggy service to drive you from the carpark to the ceremony, but it's a beautiful stroll through the gardens if you have the time. Enjoy the fresh air and take in the scenery. You'll arrive at the Amphitheatre feeling refreshed and relaxed. Pre-order your ride Order your taxi or Uber before you call it a night - they do service the area, but if all of the guests order at 10pm, there can be a backlog. Don't dampen the night by waiting around for your ride! Photographs by Ivory & Rose Photography
