The breathtaking scenery and views sweeping the coastline of Moreton Bay, complemented with the fresh, crisp mountain air, will have you relaxed in no time. We encourage you to make yourself at home and explore our beautiful property and gardens spread across 11 hectares of mountainside. Eprapah EcoNest @ Rainforest Gardens
Eprapah EcoNest is designed to immerse you in our naturally wonderful landscape. Take the time to walk around our relaxing rainforest gardens and explore the mountain outlooks; The Pavilion, Amphitheatre, Paradise Garden and the Mount Cotton Summit. These areas are for you to enjoy anytime during your stay, with many secret gardens, pathways farm animals and wildlife for you to discover.
Your house key can be left in the key safe when you depart your room, by using the combination provided to you prior to your arrival.
The property is secured at the main entrance by electronic gates for your privacy and security and can only be opened or closed by ringing the gate phone number (0493 859361) from the phone number you provided prior to your arrival. By ringing the gate phone number, you are able to come and go at your leisure.espre(there are no call charges associated with making the phone call). The gate will automatically open towards the street, so please don’t pull up, or stand too close to the gate as you enter the property.
Loss of house keys will incur a $20 replacement charge.
Room Information
Coffee and Tea
Your room is equipped with complimentary coffee and tea including a espresso coffee machine. A supply of full cream milk has been stored in your refrigerator.
Coffee machine instructions:
⁃ Turn the power on at the wall
⁃ Press the top left button on the machine to turn it on
⁃ The thermometer light will flash and water will run into the tray while it’s heating up (takes about 40 seconds)
⁃ If a red jug is flashing, the machine needs more water. You can pull out the water tank from a handle on the right had side of the machine and fill up from the tap.
⁃ Once the machine is ready, place a mug under the two silver outlets in the centre of the machine and select one of the coffee mug icons based on the amount of coffee you want.
⁃ To froth milk, place a silver jug filled halfway with milk under the frother wand on the left hand side of the machine. Make sure the wand is in the milk.
⁃ Turn the knob at the top left of the machine anti clockwise to turn the steam on and keep milk there until the mug is hot to touch.
⁃ Wipe milk frother when done.
⁃ Water and coffee ground tray may fill up depending on amount of use. This can be emptied by pulling the handle at the very front of the machine.
Vehicles and Parking
Eprapah EcoNest has a parking area for the exclusive use of guests staying on the property. The accommodation carpark can be located by following the directional signs as you enter the driveway via Gate B (only), and the instructions emailed to you prior to your arrival. A speed limit of 10km/h applies to all vehicles being driven within the venue grounds to ensure the safety of other pedestrians and vehicle traffic.
There is limited internal parking for vendors requiring access to other accommodation on wedding days (e.g. makeup and hair artists, photographer etc.), however our Venue Manager can arrange parking if advised in advance. If additional access is required to internal venues, please ensure suitable arrangements have been made with the Venue Manager.
Rainforest Gardens will take no responsibility for the loss of personal items whilst on site, so please ensure cars are locked and personal items are out of sight whilst at the venue.
Lighting and Safety
For your safety while exploring Rainforest Gardens and the neighbouring bushland, please ensure you keep to designated paths and roadways as there may be steep and unstable terrain if you venture away from those paths and roadways. Low level lighting is provided in some areas of the gardens, however for guest amenity, we don’t light all areas.

WiFi access is complimentary and available in your accommodation and the immediate grounds.

Check-out
A friendly reminder that check out time is at 10am unless prior arrangements have been made to extend your stay. Upon checking out, please turn off air conditioning and lights, close the windows and doors and leave the key in the key safe. It would be appreciated if you could let us know once you have checked out.
Housekeeping
We respect your privacy and all linen and towels are supplied for the duration of your stay and not changed daily. If for some reason you require replacement, please let us know as soon as possible, as all laundry is done off site as part of our water saving measures.
Reading
There is a selection of magazines and books in your accommodation as well as information and events on things to do around the property and Redlands Coast.
Key Safe
There is a Key Safe on the side of the home above the hammock net. To access the key inside the safe, please use the unique code that was provided to you in your welcome text message and email. When checking out or departing Eprapah EcoNest during your stay, please place the key back in the key safe.
Smoking
Rainforest Gardens Escape is a non-smoking venue. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside and away from the accommodation. Smoking inside may incur additional cleaning charges.
Candles
Candles and open flames are strictly prohibited.
Fireplace
If it gets a bit cold, please feel free to make use of the wood combustion fireplace. Here are a few instructions and tips to get you started:
- To light the fireplace please use the provided firelighters.
- There is pre-cut firewood located next to your fireplace.
- Do not overload the fireplace with excessive amounts of wood, as this may cause the fireplace to smoke.
- Always use the provided glove when touching the handle.
- Please ensure if you have no flammable items touching the fireplace. Also ensure that the blinds don’t touch the fireplace or the flue.
- Please do not cook food in the fireplace.
- Please don't empty out the fireplace on departure as there may still be hot embers.
For those who would like to indulge in some exercise, there are fabulous walking and running areas all around Rainforest Gardens. A map has been provided at the back of this compendium which includes one of the trails that forms part of the Eastern Escarpment Conservation Area. At a brisk walking pace, it will take 1 hour and 15 minutes, or around 30-40 minutes if jogging. A walk to the lookout at the top of Mount Cotton will take approximately 30 minutes (one-way).
Access to the Eastern Escarpment is from the top of Mount Cotton which adjoins part of our property.

Water is a Precious Resource
As we are not connected to town water, we value our on-site water storage facilities. Please conserve water as much as possible.
Toiletries
There is a selection of high end toiletry items for your complimentary use during your stay. Please note, the full size toiletries are for use during your stay, however please do not take these home with you upon departure as charges will apply.
Toilet
Eprapah EcoNest utilises a compost toilet that requires no water or flush. Instructions are provided in the bathroom. Please note however that it cannot accommodate sanitary items. Please dispose of any sanitary waste in the bathroom bin provided.
Evening Time
Eprapah EcoNest is also home to different varieties of native wildlife, which are often more active at night. While you may hear the occasional noise from that wildlife, we respectfully ask that you keep noise to a minimum between 9.30pm and 6.30am as a courtesy to other guests staying on the property.
Our Furry and Feathered Friends
Please introduce yourself to our herd of alpacas and Scottish Highland cattle, gaggle of geese, flock of chickens and ducks. Do not enter into the alpaca or cow paddocks without us present and keep gates shut at all times.
We are happy for you to join us at feeding time if you would like to get up close and personal. Please enquire with us regarding feeding times (subject to weather) if you wish to join us. This can generally be conducted at around 7am or 5pm. We also ask you to be aware of our security guard geese who sometimes get protective when they are about to nest. If you are close and they look unhappy, please keep your distance.
Technology
- Reverse cycle air conditioning is installed and is operated by the remote control that is mounted next to the main sliding door.
- The Smart Monitor mounted in the kitchen provides access to streamed free to air TV channels or can be used as a work station or to mirror from one of your own devices.
- USB ports are provided in some power points to allow for recharging of portable devices.
Amenities
All linen, books, bathrobes, and other furniture and fittings are provided for your comfort during your stay. Please note that charges may apply if you remove these items from the accommodation when checking out.
Please do not move furniture or crockery/cutlery to/from other accommodation.
Additional Add-Ons
You can pre-order add-ons such as a cheese platter or breakfast hamper to be delivered to your accommodation or a picnic hamper to be enjoyed at your leisure, either in your home or at one of our scenic spots on the property. Further details can be found at www.rainforestgardens.com.au/add-ons. Please note, these add-ons need to be booked with at least 24 hours notice prior to your stay.
Alcohol/and BYO
Rainforest Gardens is fully licenced and can provide a range of beverage options upon request. In accordance with our Liquor Licence (Licence No 210197), you are welcome to enjoy alcoholic beverages around the Rainforest Gardens grounds between the hours of 10.00am to 12 midnight. Any consumption of alcohol outside these hours is limited to your accommodation.
Accommodation Guests Only in Accommodation
Please be reminded that only accommodation guests are allowed in your home unless previously arranged with the Venue Manager.

The pick-up and drop-off zone for taxis, ride-share and transfer buses, is at Gate B where you entered the property.
