accommodation faq's

What time is check in and check out?

The venue has a self-check-in process, with access from 2 pm onwards, and we offer a 10 am check-out time.\

Where do I park?

There is a drop-off zone available to unload your luggage for your chalet. Your vehicle must then be parked in the designated parking area which is a short, downhill walk back to your chalet or in the designated parking area via Gate B.

There is limited visitor parking on wedding days for suppliers requiring access to the chalets (e.g. makeup and hair artists, photographers etc).  If additional internal venue access is required, then please make suitable arrangements with the Venue Manager.

Where can I explore within the property?

There will be no access along some sections of the main driveway if a wedding ceremony is taking place. Further exclusion areas may apply where venue staff are preparing for wedding receptions. Directional signage or barriers will direct access away from any exclusion areas.

Access to areas displaying the signage 'Staff Only' and 'Private Property' must be adhered to.

As the venue is set amongst the natural environment and adjacent to productive farmland, please be aware that farm animals and fauna such as wallabies, goannas, scrub turkeys, bandicoots and various birdlife may be present at the venue and/or audible during your stay.

Please do not enter any animal enclosures during your stay.

As it is difficult to light every area of the property, it is recommended that guests take all necessary care when walking throughout the venue grounds and use areas that offer better lighting.

The venue has numerous water hazards (including dams, waterfall, spring, and bore) and other hazards such as tree roots, steep inclines, stairs, and slippery grassed/rocky surfaces.  Please wear suitable footwear around the venue to assist with safety.

Can I bring my pet?

We do not allow pets of any kind on our property or in the chalets, an additional cleaning charge of $200 will apply if this condition is not adhered to.

Are children allowed?

Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to stay in the chalets without an accompanying adult.

Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times while at the venue.

Are there cooking facilities inside the chalets?

Cooking is not permitted in the chalets and will incur additional cleaning charges.

There is a barbecue provided for your use located at The Amphitheatre bar. Under the barbecue you will find condiments, utensils, paper towel and disposable plates and cutlery. The gas bottle will need to be turned on prior to use. Light switches are located on the wall to the left of the sink. After use, please turn the gas bottle off, place all rubbish into the bin provided, and place any used utensils in the sink in the Amphitheatre bar.  Do not place the cover on top of the barbecue after use, as it may still be hot.
Your room is equipped with complimentary coffee and tea including a Nespresso coffee pod machine. A supply of full cream milk has been stored in your refrigerator.

Is there Wifi available?

WiFi access is complimentary and available in your chalet and the immediate grounds.
  • WiFi name: Rainforest Chalets
  • WiFi password: rgescape

Where do I find my key to access my chalet?

There is a Key Safe adjacent to the glass sliding door on the chalet. To access the key inside the safe, please use the unique code that was provided to you in your welcome text message and email.  When checking out or departing Rainforest Gardens Escape during your stay, please place the key back in the key safe.

Is there a fireplace?

If it gets a bit cold, please feel free to make use of the wood combustion fireplace. Here are a few instructions and tips to get you started:
  • To light the fireplace please use the provided firelighters, and some small kindling which you can easily find around the property.
  • There is pre-cut firewood located underneath your fireplace.
  • Do not overload the fireplace with excessive amounts of wood.
  • Always use the provided glove when touching the handle.
  • Please ensure if you have no flammable items touching the fireplace. Also ensure that the curtains don’t touch the fireplace or the flue.
  • Please don't empty out the fireplace on departure as there may still be hot embers.
