Tell us a bit about yourselves!
We are both very down-to-earth and easy going people. We like to work hard and have waited a long time to make this day happen. Taleah is a little more introverted to Adam, who is an actor, but we blend very well together.
How did you meet?
Taleah was introduced to Adam through her work colleague as Taleah was looking for a personal trainer. The start of 2017 Feb / march. Adam was the PT of her crew mate and he recommended Adam to Taleah. When we first met it was like we were old friends and had known each other for years. Then after seeing each other a couple of times, their communication increased more and more. As Adam returned from Dubrovnik (Croatia) he asked Taleah if she wanted to meet up as his car was right near her house...and they had their first date watching a movie. Where they shared their first kiss. Then Taleah had to go to Nottingham, and on the train journey home, Adam asked her out formally via text. He's a classy guy. Dont mention the text. First date At the bar Wansted, Adam was such a smoothie asking about all of her jewellery, and let me tell you, I thought it was quite the cringe move... but it worked. A few weeks later, Adam said I know it’s early “I love you”. Took her a few months then, she said it. During the friendship they were saying are you planning to stay here or go home, but once they started dating Adam knew he would know that he would have to go to the other side of the world to be with the woman of dreams.
How did the proposal happen?
On our second year anniversary, Adam took inspiration from the US Office, a TV Show that we both love watching, and the way in which Micheal proposes to Holly. In the TV show Micheal takes Holly through the memories he had of the time they spent together at work, and so Adam wanted to do the same through London. We went to all the different places that we had dates at and had met up...like Taleahs house in Redbridge, the Lyceum Theatre where we saw The Lion King, Adam's workplace at the ExCel, a bar called The Porterhouse, we had lunch at Ping Pong in Covent Garden which was where Taleah first told Adam she loved him...and at each place, we took a photo of our day....and then Adam "secretly" sent them to his parents who were setting up the cottage with 100s of photos from our relationship and we helping to set up their home ready for Adam to propose. Adam wanted to do it in the most special place he had ever had, and that was his cottage with Taleah. We got back to the cottage after a long day in London, and the living room was all set up with tea lights and pictures from their relationship. Adam had written a poem which was up on the wall, and below it was the ring box with the words "turn around", and Taleah opened it and then behind her there Adam was on one knee asking her to marry him.
What do you do for work?
Adam works for Football Queensland as a Referee Development Office as well as an online personal trainer and actor.
Taleah is a Paramedic.
Why did you choose Rainforest Gardens as your wedding venue?
Adam thought that if he couldn't get married in an English Church, then getting married in a rainforest would be just as amazing and different to anything he has ever known. We loved Rainforest Gardens immediately, the accommodation and the fact it all happens in one place was a real bonus.
